Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 August 2026
Short version: I collect what you type into the contact form so I can reply to you, and anonymous traffic statistics so I know which pages are useful. I don't sell anything to anyone, and you can have your information deleted by asking.
Who this is
Lake Forest Digital, LLC, based in Lake Forest, Illinois, and run by Uriel Rojas. You can reach me at urojas@lakeforestdigital.com or (847) 772-7892.
What the contact forms collect
When you submit a form on this site, it sends me your first and last name, your email address, the topic you picked, and your message. That's it. It arrives as an email in my inbox and is not stored in a database on this website.
I use it to answer you and, if you become a customer, to do the work and keep normal business records. I don't add you to a mailing list and I don't send marketing.
What the website measures
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It sets cookies in your browser and records things like which pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and whether you arrived from a search engine, a link, or an advertisement.
It also records when someone taps the phone number, opens an email link, books a call, submits a form, or downloads EDI Studio. These are counted as anonymous totals so I can tell which parts of the site are working. Tapping the phone number tells me that somebody tapped it, not who.
Advertising
I advertise this business on Google. If you arrive here from one of those ads, Google may record that the visit came from a particular ad and whether it led to a contact form or a phone tap. This tells me which ads are worth paying for. Google's own handling of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser add-on, and most browsers let you block or clear cookies in their settings.
Who else sees your information
Three companies are involved in running this site, and only in the ways described above:
- HostGator hosts the website and passes contact form messages to my email.
- Google provides the analytics and advertising described above.
- Calendly handles booking if you choose to schedule a call, and collects whatever you enter on their booking page under their own privacy policy.
Nobody buys this information from me, because I don't sell it. I will only hand it to anyone else if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
Emails from the contact form stay in my inbox as ordinary business correspondence. If you were never a customer and you'd rather I didn't keep it, ask and I'll delete it. Records tied to actual paid work are kept as long as normal business and tax requirements need.
Your choices
Write to me at urojas@lakeforestdigital.com and I will tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. There's no form for this and no fee. I'm a one-person business, so it'll be me reading it.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
